Innovation is in our culture and soul of Enlightened Thought Works. In the services division where training is one of our Lines of Business we adopt innovative training strategies for
- Concept Visualization
- Practical Application
- Modelling Techniques
- Strategies to train on Best Practices
- Activity Driven modelling
We’ve cracked several peculiar requirements such as: mimic a network in a single machine for practical demonstrations, train processes and strategies innovatively where the provision of machines was limited to zero, train participants coming from varied fields attending trainings on architecture, technology and so on.
Enlightened Thought Works uses innovative techniques for such peculiar requirements. We go beyond the conventional concepts of presentation and implementation, the goal being instilling the knowledge and experience of our trainings for life.
On one such occasion for our clients, the campus to corporate program was devised to conduct trainings on Unit Testing, Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development, Coding Best practices all without the aid of a particular technology or even laptop / desktop.
We adopted the concept visualization through animated stories, practical implementation and modelling using “legos”. The participants were from different disciplines of engineering.
The modelling involved construction of rooms with individual furniture as units (for testing), and have them integrated into a house. The blueprint, classes, objects were prepared as CRC diagrams. Participants assumed the roles of architects, construction workers, contractors who would each perform a type of testing on them. The customer (the trainer) would perform a User Acceptance Test and the contractor would generate the final Quality Index in the Quality report.
Black box, white box, grey box testing were conducted in an agile project environment and reported in charts. Each unit was tested using Unit Testing strategies (TDD, BDD, gherkins), all units (rooms) were integrated after performing Integration Tests, Sanity, regression tests were performed by each team.
The participants having given the project of “Construct your Dream House” got well involved and learnt the techniques through practical implementation. Later they were to perform the same with code, and yes, they were well upto it! The environment (syntaxes) changed, but the applicability stayed the same.
